先日、わたしは日曜日に教会の聖餐会で音楽の発表をする機会がありました。わたしはバイオリンを弾き、他の友達が歌、そしてピアノを弾きました。バイオリンの練習をしながら、この歌詞の意味を考えるためにユーチューブで他の人の演技を聞いていました。その時、ダリン・ヴェイル・ベイルズと言うモルモンのパフォーマンスのビデオを見つけました。これを何度も聴くうちに、これを日本の人にも分かち合いたいと感じました。

 

ビデオ、音楽を聴いて主の贖いの意味をもう少し深く理解できましたか。わたしはこの歌詞に描かれているように、主イエスの贖いを理解し、謙遜になり、力強い決意ができればと感じました。

 

主はわたしたち全てを愛し、わたしたちを個人としてご存知です。わたしたち一人一人が主の御言葉を宣言し、わたしたちの思いや行動を通して主の御心が伝えられますように。そしてわたしたちは御霊に導かれ、主にふさわしい者となれますように。

Savior, Redeemer of My Soul

The other day, I had an opportunity to perform in a sacrament meeting. I played the violin and my friends sang and played the piano. While I was practicing my part, I was listening to YouTube videos to think about the meaning of this song. I found Dallyn Vail Bayles’ performance. As I was watching his performance many times, I was prompted to share the video with you all.

Did you gain deeper understanding of the Savior’s Atonement? I would like to be committed to have a deeper understanding of the Savior’s Atonement, be humble, and have stronger commitments as the lyrics describes.

 

The Lord loves all of us, and he knows us individually. Let us proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, and share his will through our thoughts and actions. Let us be led by the spirit and be worthy to the Lord.

 

About the Author

 

Toshinori Fukui: From Toyohashi, Aichi. He graduated from Aichi High School in Nagoya, Japan, and attended the language school in Utah for a year. He started his college education at BYU-Idaho in 2007, transferred to BYU Provo in 2010, and then graduated with B.S. in Finance and B.A. in Economics along with a minor in math. He starts his Ph.D. in Finance at the University of Houston in August 2015. He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since 2001. He served mission in Japan Kobe Mission, speaking Portuguese and Japanese from 2007 to 2009.
